Obituary

The Amazing RONALD G. STEWART was born March 12, 1955 and was the 2nd child of Calvin and Margaret Stewart of Detroit, Michigan.

Ron was a proud product of the Detroit public school system. Ron attended Ruthruff Elementary, Tappan Jr. High and graduated from Mackenzie High school in 1973. He received a degree of bachelors of Science in Sports Management from Central Michigan University and went back to school to receive a degree of Bachelors of Science in Management in 2001 from Shorter College. Ron attended Tabernacle Baptist Church when he lived in Detroit where he got his fundamental learning of church.

Ron was a wonderful role model for many and a fierce protector of his family. He was a kind man, faithful man, loving man. He was a confident person, a natural leader. He was a loving husband, father, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. Though his life has been cut short he leaves a legacy of his strength and encouragement and the belief that we all must support and care for each other and our future generations. He was unmistakably one of the best men we will ever know. As we go through this life, we will remember Ronny’s Character, Loyalty and Integrity.

In 1993 Ron married Justine Johnson in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Oahu, Hawaii accompanied by his mother Margaret and his sister Caroline (his other mother). Ron integrated seamlessly into Justine’s family. Not long after the honeymoon, the two soulmates (and Ron’s 1972 Roadrunner) moved to Georgia where they built their dream home. Ron and Justine shared a beautiful life together in Georgia along with a daughter (Dreycem), 3 grandchildren (Breanna, Aliyah and Anthony Jr.) and a great grand baby (Amir). Although he moved to Georgia, he also maintained the family home (with his sister) in Detroit where he often entertained family and friends. Always immersed in his family and culture, Ron continued his love for travel, music, cars and food. Ron loved traveling to new places, trying new things and meeting new people. He soon joined the Atlanta Spartans Athletic club (which is a men’s group that awards scholarships to our young future leaders). Ron was proceeded in death by his father, Calvin Stewart, mother, Margaret Stewart, aunts, Ozella, Annalois, MaryJane, Donata, Gwenelle, Florence and Lena; uncles Clarence Jr., Arnold, Theopolis, James, Jerry, Samuel and Kermit.

Ronald Stewart leaves loving memories to his wife Justine Stewart, sister, Caroline L. Sample Stewart, nephew, Milton Sample III (Sophia), great nephew Milton Sample IV, daughter, Dreycem Johnson, three grandchildren, Breanna Jordan, Aliyah Jordan and Anthony Jordan Jr., and one great-grandson, Amir Danfodio. He also leaves to cherish His uncle Alfred, Aunt Geraldine, Aunt Aylce and several loved cousins and friends.
