Michael Lewis “Big Mike” Milan was born to Milton and Betty Milan on April 18, 1973 in Evansville, Indiana. He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age. Michael attended North Clayton High School and graduated from Worth County High School where he played football. After high school, Michael attended Forth Valley State University where he continued to play football. Michael pledged Alpha Psi Omega while attending Forth Valley State University. Michael joined the United States Army where he served 4 years in the 101st Airborne Division 3rd/327 infantry Bravo Company in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He served a tour during Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq. After serving his country, Michael returned home to the sport he loved, playing football for the Georgia Rage Semi Pro Football team. He also coached football at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School in 2009. Until his time of death, Michael worked for American Medical Response (AMR) as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The love and passion for what he did was unmatched. He left a positive impact on everyone he came into contact with. When he had the opportunity, Michael loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching and playing football and baseball, working out, going to the gun range and spending time with family and friends.
Michael joined in marriage with Toyia Milan where they conceived 5 beautiful children. He leaves to mourn his children, Michael, Aaron, Ryan and Karisma Milan of Dallas, GA, his father, Milton (Maria) Milan of Evansville, IN, his mother, Betty Roberts of Fayetteville, GA, sister, Emma Milan of Evansville, IN and Fiancé, Amy McCoy of Douglasville, GA, a host of aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
Michael was proceeded in death by his daughter, Christina Milan, his brother, Mark Milan, grandparents, Ira and Hazel Milan and Jesse and Helen Young.
