Abraham Alonzo Murray, age 75 of Stockbridge, Ga., died Monday March 4 2019. He was born in Brunswick GA. to the late Lenora Ramsey and Thomas Murray. He graduated from Risley High School in Brunswick GA (Class of 1961), and went to Georgia State University. He served in the United States Army for four years. After serving in the army, he then worked with the United States Postal Service as an LSM Operator for 20 years before retiring. In 1980, he and his first wife (Carolyn Smith), became members of the Jehovah’s Witness Organization, aided in the “Truth” by Brother and Sister Major and Mae Sanders. Brother Murray’s family was everything to him. He loved music, cooking and spending time with his family as well as the brothers and sisters at the Kingdom Hall. He would often minister by phone when he was unable to make to the meetings and attend regular field service. After his first wife passed away in 2006, he remarried in 2015 to Ms. Rosalie Leavitt. Brother Murray leaves to cherish his memory, Mrs. Rosalie Murray and all of his children: Abraham Jr., Doreen, Benjamin, Abrienne( James Patta), Yvette, Adam and Michelle and by several grandchildren, among them: Sara, Brianna, Kenneth and Tracey. He is also survived by his sister and brother, Willie Garrett(Doll) and Emory McCoy, several nephews and nieces including: Allen, Merritt-Eugene, Serena, Norma and Deborah(Dee-Dee), Gene, Wayne, Robert, and Faye as well as other in-laws, Dorothy Miles and Barbara Bryson and a host of friends.
